Volakas marble comes from a small village in northern Greece, known for its marble quarries and is a tribute to ancient Greek civilisation, especially the Acropolis and the Parthenon. White Volakas marble is a metamorphic rock formed from limestone deep in the earth under extreme heat and pressure. Along with the limestone, it also contains dolomite, giving it different colours and shades. Designed by Greek architect Faye Tsakalides.
